The downside is Pou’s disqualification for unlawful reasons. From here onwards, the cyclist from Algaida stirs the fire with his statements on the press, which causes the audience mobilisation and an increasing number of cycling enthusiasts.

Participation in the 13th Tour of Catalonia

The 1931 edition, number 13, in seven stages, witnessed a spectacular competition among two of their most important cyclists: the three-time champion of the Tour Mariano Cañardo and Salvador Cardona, who got the victory in the general classification against him. Both alternated victories in the different first stages, but Cañardo received a sanction five minutes before the sixth stage, which helped Cardona win in the general stage. Nicolau shows his great potential, as acknowledged by the two protagonists of the Tour.
